Schools Cross Country

On Wednesday, Oct 5th, the boys and girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes took part in the County Roscommon Primary Schools Cross Country competition in the Race course, Roscommon. 35 children donned their runners/football boots to attempt the course – 1,000m for 3rd & 4th, 1.2km for 5th & 6th. We had great success on the day, with Hazel Kelly coming 2nd in the 3rd & 4th class girls race, while Mícheál Hussey came home in 9th place in a very competitive 5th & 6th class field. They both qualify for the Connaught Cross Country in Sligo IT on Saturday 15th October. We wish them the best of luck!!
