Active Schools Week 2023 Day 5

As always, we finished off ASW 2023 in the Oran GAA pitch in Rockfield. We had a blast. Ollie Lennon and Proinsias both came down to join us, have fun, and coach us in some fundamentals of Football and Hurling – with emphasis on the FUN. We also played rounders and Tug-0-War, and in the afternoon we had two special treats. Some past pupils of Lisaniskey NS came back to visit us. We were delighted to welcome back some of the girls who were so successful with the Convent of Mercy teams this year, winning All Ireland titles in both football and camogie, as well as the All Ireland Minor B camogie title. a short while later, the biggest cheer of the day greeted the ice cream van’s arrival. Cue cones and sprinkles all round as we took a well earned break!
